Neighborhood group to track outdoor problems
September 29, 2007

Des Moines Neighbors will conduct a survey in the Gray's Woods Neighborhood today and Sunday to document outdoor problems that need city officials' attention.

Issues that will be addressed include potholes, illegal signs, graffiti, abandoned buildings and junk piles. Participants will remain on sidewalks and other public property to conduct the survey.

They will use the computerized neighborhood environment tracking system, ComNET, to log complaints and photographs of problem areas.

The information is downloaded directly into the city's electronic request tracking system.
