The Fund for the City of New York welcomes nominations for the Union Square Awards. Anyone may submit a nomination. To do so, provide a description of the candidate and their project with the names of two references. Only individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary initiative and commitment and who have not yet received substantial funding will be considered.
The names go into a reserve pool, and each nominee is reviewed in due course. Send your nomination to:

The review process begins each year at the beginning of January. The names of the individuals who emerge as the strongest candidates are submitted to the Union Square Awards Selection Committee. The Committee meets in the fall to select the winners, and the Awards are announced shortly thereafter.
