Appointed in March 2025, Deputy Mayor Suzanne Miles-Gustave oversees New York City’s public health, healthcare delivery, and social service systems—agencies with 68,000 staff and $20B in annual spending. With over 20 years of legal, policy, and management experience—including leadership roles at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services—she brings a track record of building equitable systems that strengthen families and communities. She will share her vision for breaking down silos across health and human services and her priorities for advancing collective impact citywide.
