Nov 10, 2026: TNTP Launch of the Mobility Center

• 2 Minutes
The Fund for the City of New York is pleased to highlight the launch of TNTP‘s new Mobility Center with a fireside conversation between Tequilla Brownie and Lisette Nieves about what helps young people turn opportunities into lasting economic security and thriving lives.
Schools, colleges, and employers all shape that journey, but each sees only part of it. Often, they must wait years to learn whether the programs and experiences they offer have made a lasting difference. By then, young people have already made consequential decisions about their education and careers.
The Mobility Center will explore how to close that gap. Bringing research, practice, and policy together, it will investigate what supports economic and social mobility, and how to recognize progress early enough to help young people along the way. Among its questions is how capabilities such as judgment, adaptability, and problem-solving develop, and what role they play alongside relationships, resources, and other factors that shape a person’s future.
The launch will bring these questions to life through a gallery experience featuring data, photographs, personal stories, and short videos. We invite you to join the conversation to consider what we know, where our understanding falls short, and how to help young people build lives in which they can thrive.
