Her studies center on participatory planning, place-based design, and community-driven development, reflecting her strong commitment to supporting equitable, resilient, and sustainable cities. She brings extensive professional experience from the Asian Development Bank, where she contributed to infrastructure, energy efficiency, and urban development projects. Her expertise in communications, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation informs her human-centered approach to planning and design. This past summer, Alima supported the Public Space and Operations team at the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, assisting with operational mapping, streetscape revitalization, holiday lighting, and commercial installations along Fulton Street.
