Bio

Bryan Belmont is pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Planning at Hunter College, where he previously earned a B.A. in Urban Studies, with a minor in Computer Science. Bryan’s urban planning experience includes working at Energy Infrastructure Partners developing a strategic energy management program for residential buildings. He also interned at the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation as part of their Sustainability and Emerging Technologies team. Bryan is invested in addressing the needs of immigrant communities in New York, which enrich the city with their presence and strength. In the face of a housing crisis and aggressive immigration policies that have made life more difficult for foreign-born New Yorkers, Bryan hopes to support policy, housing, and business initiatives that enhance the staying power of immigrant communities.
