She graduated from University of Calgary with a BA in International Relations & Japanese Minor in 2014. In 2012 while Kristine was attending University of Calgary, she was able to go on a study abroad to Japan that opened her eyes to urban planning and architecture as a career. After graduating she was able to intern in Tokyo at an architectural and interior design firm then later worked as an architectural designer in the Bronx. She would like to be able to have the opportunity to create, preserve or adapt spaces for more contextualized architecture and urban planning that considers culture and history while strengthening them to become self-sufficient. She loves to be outside, play basketball and learn new languages. She has also enjoyed being an active member of her communities through volunteering.
