Meet the 2026 Sloan Public Service Award Winners

• 2 Minutes

Every day, public servants across New York City work behind the scenes to solve complex challenges, improve essential services, and strengthen communities. Their impact is felt by millions of New Yorkers, yet their contributions often go unrecognized.

Tonight, the Fund for the City of New York and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation will honor six exceptional public servants at the 2026 Sloan Public Service Awards, celebrating leadership, innovation, and dedication in service to the public good.

For more than six decades, the Sloan Public Service Awards have recognized outstanding New York City public servants whose work has improved the lives of residents and strengthened the institutions that help the city thrive. Widely regarded as one of the highest honors in New York City public service, the awards shine a spotlight on individuals whose commitment and creativity help make government more effective, responsive, and impactful.

This year’s recipients represent the very best of public service. Through their leadership, they have tackled some of the city’s most pressing challenges, improved outcomes for New Yorkers, and demonstrated what is possible when talented individuals dedicate themselves to serving others.

As we celebrate this year’s honorees, we also celebrate the thousands of public servants across New York City whose daily work strengthens our communities, supports families, improves education, protects public health, and helps ensure that government serves the people effectively and equitably.

Congratulations to the 2026 Sloan Public Service Award recipients:

Thank you for your extraordinary service to New York City!
