Bio
Adam Cusner is a cultural exchange professional with a growing focus on urban policy, community planning, and public service. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from SUNY Cortland and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at CUNY Baruch’s Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. During his undergraduate years, he led programs that connected students and local residents, strengthening his organizational skills and deepening his understanding of civic engagement. With over five years of experience in cultural exchange and organizational leadership, Adam now serves as a Program Consultant at AIFS Inc., where he advises diverse student populations, designs programs, and develops initiatives that expand access to international education. His background in client services, compliance, and cross-cultural engagement has sharpened his abilities in policy implementation, stakeholder communication, and data management, which he now applies to urban governance. Outside of work, Adam enjoys volunteering, attending concerts, exploring outdoors, and playing ultimate frisbee. He hopes to use this opportunity with the Fund for the City of New York to gain experience in advancing equity, sustainable community development, and inclusive programs that strengthen local neighborhoods.
