Bio
Fiona Campbell earned her B.A. in Urban Studies from Barnard College. She later spent two years at Urban Pathways, working within New York City’s housing landscape and housing models for those at risk for or experiencing homelessness. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies, she has worked with community organizations in the South Bronx, including the Bronx Cooperative Development Initiative, Mothers on the Move, and the Bronx River Alliance. This work has given her experience in community planning and organizing while contributing to research, site analysis, and planning recommendations to support neighborhood initiatives. Fiona has a deep interest in community-led design and how it can strengthen communities, promote affordability, and mitigate climate risks. Her current research explores climate-informed public space planning and sustainable community-led housing cooperatives, examining how these models can contribute to more equitable, affordable, and resilient cities. Outside of her academic and professional work, she enjoys spending time in parks and along the waterfront, dancing, and exploring art.
