Bio
Collins Kusi is interested in how public policy and community planning can make communities more accessible and inclusive, especially for people with disabilities. As a Day Habilitation Coordinator at the Institute of Applied Human Dynamics (IAHD), he supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through self-advocacy, health communication, and stronger community connections. For his graduate fieldwork, he is developing a health literacy and self-advocacy curriculum for people with disabilities. His interest in local decision-making also led him to apply for a seat on Bronx Community Board 3. Before entering public health, Collins earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Outside work and school, he volunteers, cooks, sings, writes songs, and serves as a choir director.
