Bio
Becca Williams brings experience in the nonprofit sector and academic research across rural and urban contexts, with a focus on education, social policy, and environmental advocacy. In New York City, they serve as an Education Specialist for the YMCA of Greater New York, working directly with youth, city agencies, and community members to address learning needs and strengthen social support systems. They also work part-time for the Brooklyn Public Library, supporting programs that help families build early literacy skills. Becca holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado College. Their experiences in education, social policy, and environmental advocacy led them to explore accessible planning, equitable urban development, and public spaces that are welcoming to underserved communities, particularly children. Outside of work, Becca enjoys reading, walking, birding, and tending to their fire escape garden.
